Paris, France

Paris, France - Full of history and life that makes for another epic vacation spot!

As the countries largest city and also it's capital, this spot is actually the world's leading tourism destination. Also known as "La Ville-Lumière", or "the city of lights", Paris offers tons of historical sites as well as relaxing and romantic getaways.

When you visit it is a necessity to get to the Palace of Versailles and see its amazing architecture and gardens. You can also take a Parisien Cruise down the River Seine which highlights many of the landmarks of the city. The Louvre Museum has been called "the Jewel in the Crown" of French culture, housing some of the most famous works of art from all throughout history. Some other iconic spots include the Arc de Triomphe, the Cathedral of Notre Dame, and the Grevin Wax Museum.

The biggest attraction in Paris is the Eiffel Tower, which is the tallest building in the city. It's observatory's upper platform is 915.7 feet high, making it the highest accessible viewing spot in the European Union today. The building is home to several restaurants which serve a variety of foods, from inexpensive sandwiches to fancy French cuisine, finely complemented by the views of the city. Beware, however, if you'd like a window view table to make reservations six months in advance. If you really want the full experience, Une Petite Coupe is a champagne bar at the top level of the tower which does not serve food but offers flutes of champagne for between $14-$22.

Due to its popularity there is no real "ideal" time to visit the city, since it offers different personality at different times of the year. Spring has been said to be a good time to go, before tourism reaches its peak in the summer season. At this time the scenery is beautiful and the city is in bloom. The fall is good, due to the decrease in summer visitors and comfortable, dry weather. The winter would be the least appealing time to go since it can be snowy, and guarantees cold days with a good chance of rain. It does offer some of the better winter-warming meals that are in season at that time.

A hotel for two during the fall starts as low as $117 per night, but can go up to around $700 depending on your hotel choice.

Jamaica me crazyyy!!

Being its landmass is only slightly smaller than Connecticut, Jamaica is the third largest island in the Caribbean. Jamaica is made up of six different regions: Montego Bay, Negril, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, Dunn’s river Falls, and Kingston. Each region brings its own culture to the table. Montego Bay has three world-renowned golf courses as well as world class resorts, Negril is known for its beautiful stretch of white sand, Ocho Rios and Dunn’s river Falls hosts a large cruise port. Port Antonio is considered the most beautiful part of the country, while Kingston is the capital of Jamaica and where the real culture lives.

The climate in Jamaica is a tropical one due to its temperatures averaging 85 degrees every day. However if you travel to the inland areas the temperatures will drop about 10 degrees. The more popular months to travel to Jamaica are in December and April versus the rainy season of June to November.

The food in Jamaica all depends on where you are eating. At most hotels and resorts the standard continental fare rather than traditional Jamaican food. In order to get this you must be willing to travel on the outskirts of the resorts. One restaurant in specific called Cosmo’s Seafood Restaurant and bar its particularly unique being it serves delicious fresh seafood at the same time you are sunning yourself.

One of the most popular hotels is the Geejam. Located on the hillside in Port Antonio it is made up of three pine cottages, three bedroom villas, and a deluxe suite. Made for the romantic couple looking to really get the Jamaican experience the hotel is dolled up with white-on-white interiors with a splash of jungle appeal. Inside the Geejam is also a bi-level lounged called Bushbar. This authentic restaurant serves dual purposes being a nightlife spot as well.

Speaking of nightlife, Jungle is a two-floored multi purpose party central. Picture an elaborate décor made up of potted plants, painted wall murals of animals, and even some live ones such as the caged snake and fishpond. Made up of both locals and visitors there is something for everyone to enjoy. There’s a sports bar with pool tables, a stage for live bands, a martini lounge, and a disco with a DJ stand facing a dance floor. When visiting here don’t expect an early night for the party goes until six in the morning, not that you would want to leave anyway.

Jamaica is a beautiful country full of culture as well as entertainment. You get the Caribbean feel without the boring status that can sometimes follow it. Here you can experience many new things as well as old time favorites. Jamaica is definitely a place to travel to.

Costa Rica

Costa Rica is a small Central American country with a myriad of fantastic destinations to explore! Over 25% of Costa Rica’s territory is protected by the government’s extensive national parks system. This creates a haven for countless species of flora and fauna, and offers visitors a wide array of activities and opportunities to partake of paradise. Located between Nicaragua and Panama, Costa Rica is bordered by both the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean. A series of volcanic mountain chains run from the Nicaraguan border in the northwest to the Panamanian border in the southeast, splitting the country in half. The Central Valley is located in the middle of these mountain ranges and there are coastal lowlands on both sides of them.

As you experience Costa Rica, you can go from surfing along the dry tropical forest of the Central Pacific, to dancing calypso music beside the exuberant Caribbean coast. You can hike misty cloud forests, discover majestic volcanoes, fly above the rainforest canopy, bathe under a waterfall, spot a family of monkeys, or simply relax as this wildlife wonderland unfolds right in front of your eyes.

In addition to the numerous tourist attractions offered by the country, there is also a large selection in terms of lodging accommodations. From five star resorts to small eco-lodges, Costa Rica has something to suit everybody's preferences and budget. Getting to the country is also easy. Most major airlines fly to Costa Rica from key cities in the United States, Canada, and Europe. Add Costa Rica’s peaceful and friendly lifestyle into the mix and you get one of the most visited vacation spots in the world!

Rome

Rome, city of seven hills, is divided into neighborhoods often named for the key attractions in each area. It’s split by the Tiber River and linked by cobbled streets and boulevards. Grab a map while exploring, especially if you’re visiting some of the older districts where addresses and streets can be confusing. Walking is the best way to get around the narrow, windy roads at many of the historical sites.

No visit to Rome is complete without experiencing its architectural and artistic landmarks. There are Renaissance wonders like the Palazzo Senatorio and the Sistine Chapel within Vatican City. Baroque masterpieces, including magnificent St. Peter's Basilica, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain are also must-see destinations. Step back further in time and stroll through the history of the Roman Empire at the Roman Forum, which ends at the awe-inspiringColosseum. In between outings, sit back and enjoy a coffee in one of the old town squares like the Piazza Navona.

Attractions: Coliseum, Pantheon, Circus Maximus, St. Peters Basilica, Trevl Fountain, Vatican CIty and Tiber Island.

Places to stay:  Raphael Hotel, Grand Hotel Parco Dei Principi, Hotel De Russie, The St. Regis Grand Hotel.
