San Diego, California

The San Diego area revolves around the water, with surfing being the biggest water sport by far, followed by sailing, swimming, fishing, diving and a wide variety of other sports. Whale watching season traditionally takes place from mid-December to mid-March, when 15,000 of these peaceful giants journey from the chilly Alaskan seas to the warm-water breeding lagoons of Baja, California.

The quaint, coastal towns of Mission Bay and Del Mar offer beautiful beaches, fabulous shopping and mild, sunny weather throughout the year, making the area a favorite vacation destination for visitors from around the world. Both La Jolla and Del Mar offer privacy and peace nearby to some of the United State's best water sport activities and beaches.
In addition to fun on the sand and sea, your vacation in the San Diego area can include recreational choices ranging from championship golf courses, visiting unique shops and galleries to winery tours and a world-famous horse track.

Attractions:   Sea world, San Diego Zoo, Mission Beach, Maritime Museum, Belmont Park, Petco Park, Seaport Village.

Cape Coast, Ghana

Cape Coast of Ghana, Africa, is a less-traveled vacation spot. Situated on the Gulf of Guinea, this spot attracts tourists interested in their beautiful beaches and cultural uniqueness. All of the comments you find regarding this vacation say that the culture is extremely laid back, but their culture is rich and they have several festivals throughout the year that are celebrated through traditional dance and music.

It's top attractions include the incredible Cape Coast Castle. This particular museum features information about the history of Ghana, and informs on the impact of slavery on the area, as well as the local culture. Another landmark, Elmina and St. George's Castle, was the center of the gold, and later, slave trading ports. There are also several national parks in which you can hike through the forests, and also see rare wild-life such as elephants, warthogs, and hyenas.

A smaller site, that is often overlooked, is the village of Nzulezo. As a small fishing village, it can only be reached by renting a canoe from another village. This is an excellent spot for someone who is looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of Ghana's city life.

This amazing vacation spot, being a smaller and less traveled location, runs very cheap. Rooms for 2, for one weeks stay start as low as $113/night and, for a special getaway, offer suites starting between $500-$600.

reason. Packed with fun adventures for children as well as nightlife

Hotel Kakslauttanen

Looking for somewhere cool to take a vacation you’ll never forget? The Hotel Kakslauttanen, located in Finland, could be just the spot you’re looking for.

This hotel is a unique one, to say the least. It primarily offers log cabins, but also has traditional snow igloos, or futuristic  glass igloos where you can view the phenomenal Aurora Borealis.

In addition to lodging, they have the world’s largest smoke sauna, two Lapishtent restaurants (that serve a more native cuisine), and a snow restaurant. The “Igloo Village” is home to a snow chapel and an ice bar, which they build every winter.

Some winter activities you can enjoy during your stay include safaris by way of huskies, snowmobiles, or reindeer. You also go ice fishing, or rent traditional skis at your leisure. In the summer they offer boat and fishing trips, as well as sightseeing, and bicycle rides in the Tankavaara National Park.

Their newest addition is “Santa’s Resort”, where you can find Mr. Claus year round.

From August-April, when the Aurora Borealis is the most visible, prices range from $999.99, for seven nights in a small cabin, to $1962.62 for a large cottage.  The glass igloo costs $2871.24 for a week long stay.
