Tahiti

Another magnificient vacation getaway, Tahiti offers travelers incredible scenery and breathtaking, clear waters. Tahiti is the largest island in Winward, in French Polynesia. With an average temperature of 70 - 88 degrees, this is a perfect spot to enjoy the sun on the beautiful beaches.

Available to you, there are several different day cruises in which you can snorkel in the coral reefs surrounding the island. You can also visit Fautaua Falls. One historical site to catch on your trip are Point Venus, where there were several historical landings, and the Tomb of King Pomare, V - the cemetary where the King was buried. You may also want to check out the Tahiti Lagoonarium, an aquarium with tons of sea life including sharks, moray eels, and sea turtles. There are several popular beaches you can enjoy the weather on, such as Punaauia Beach.

After the sun sets, Tahiti offers nightlife at night clubs and bars, and also offer shows of Tahitian dancing - which are offered at many of the hotels. Tourists can generally have access to the elite night clubs on the islands. It is noted, however, that bars are on the expensive side, and often include a cover charge on entry.

There are many hotels available, and many offer all exclusive packages. The Inter Continental Moorea Lagoon Resort & Spa offers a 5 night package that includes two free nights, and two free breakfasts starting at $2,150. Regular rates start at $972.75 for a week for two.
